Social Responsibility & Sustainability

Social Responsibility

As an Australian owned small business, we are passionate about giving back to the community, which is why we have partnered with i=change to donate $1 from every online sale to one of their charities.

When you checkout online with Coco & Lola you will see the following pop up which will allow you to select a charity you are most passionate about and then we will donate $1 towards this cause.

"Giving back signifies a special relationship with our brand's values and that of our customers. By involving our customers, every purchase and product has so much more meaning...
I’m excited to make a difference to someone’s life."
- Jess Dunlop, founder of Coco and Lola.

We will be updating our Coco Community throughout the year with stories of change for each of these charities so we can all see the positive impact we are having.

Ethical Manufacturing

It is an expectation at Coco & Lola that all brands we stock are transparent when it comes to their supply chains to ensure both the manufacturing and fabric sourcing is managed in accordance to ethical standards.

Brands such as Manning Cartell, One Fell Swoop, Viktoria & Woods and Nobody Denim have a long lasting commitment to manufacture right here in Australia. 3 of these brands are even accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia which has a stringent audit process.

Due to a number of factors many of our Australian brands do manufacture offshore and they have gone to great lengths to ensure their supply chains exceed all minimum ethical standards.

If you would like to find out more information specific to your favourite brand we would encourage you to have a look on the brand's website as most of the brands have a page dedicated to their ethics and code of conduct.

Sustainability

Coco & Lola was founded with the core objective to provide a curated collection of timeless fashion for any occasion. The majority of the Australian designers we stock were founded on a similar principle and consequently their products are made with the best quality materials and are made to last.

Each collection that arrives in Coco & Lola has been hand picked by Jessica Dunlop and in some cases made exclusively for our Coco customer. These collections have been ordered months before arrival and purchased in small quantities specific to our Coco community.

If you would like to find out more information specific to your favourite brand we would encourage you to have a look on the brand's website as most of the brands have a page dedicated to their sustainable practices.

Coco Initiatives

We have already made many changes internally over the last few years but as we continue on this journey it becomes increasingly important to both us and our Coco community to always look at new ways to reduce our impact on the planet.

Two of the most exciting initiatives we are implementing in the coming months are:

- the introduction of 100% compostable satchels for all online orders

- working with an accredited Energy and Emissions Auditor to become Carbon Neutral

All updates on our initiatives will be posted to this page so don't forget to check in to see the progress we have made and what new initiatives we are working on!
